Lord Justice Munby to speak at FREE conference!!

Fantastic news, we are hosting a conference in November and our keynote speaker is Lord Justice Munby, I am so excited!

Sad as it might be but for those of us interested in Safeguarding Adults Lord Justice Munby is a bit of a star, or maybe it’s just me! We also have David Hewitt, who will focus on issues regarding DoLS, Gary Fitzgerald, the CEO of Action on Elder Abuse, and Rob Brown who will be speaking on the relationship between  Guardianship and Safeguarding.

We will also use this as an opportunity to tell attendees about some new support materials we are developing. I am currently working on an on-line  tool and a workbook to support practitioners in developing their skills around Safeguarding Adults, (do not worry this will be a very short slot, 15 mins max)

Anyway, you are all invited, as I mentioned it is free to all attendees, even lunch is included, but places are limited, so as they say ‘book early’!  We are really looking forward to putting a few faces to the names we regularly see on Twitter and via our blogs, so I hope you can attend, and please make sure you come and say ‘Hi’ to Emily, Lucy and myself at some point in the day.

Click here if you want to book tickets, the programme for the day can also be found here.

If you can’t make it to the conference, you can follow our live tweets throughout the day use #SMCC2012
